50 Days of Easter Food Challenge

Update, May 27, 2026: Thanks to all for participating in our 50 days of food collection for the Food Pantry! We collected a whopping 327 items for our food pantry in the 50 days between Easter and Pentecost! Well done good and faithful servants!

Old Zionsville UCC participated in the Keystone Conference’s 50 Days of Easter Food Challenge, a “People of the Table” mission project connected to the Conference’s first Annual Meeting.

From Easter (April 5, 2026) through Pentecost (May 24, 2026), churches across the Conference collected non-perishable food donations for their local food banks. Each congregation reported the total amount donated, and a Conference-wide total will be shared at the Annual Meeting, June 5–7, 2026.

This approach allowed each church to support the community where they live, work, and serve—making an impact locally while contributing to a larger shared effort.

At Old Zionsville UCC, this is something we already do—and during this challenge, we supported the Zionsville Area Food Pantry in a new way. Members of the confirmation class counted the items collected during this time so that our congregation could participate in the Conference-wide total.

Our congregation was invited to take part by bringing non-perishable food items between Easter and Pentecost. All types of items were welcome.
