We are looking for two people who would like to join the Trustees in keeping our cemetery running.

FUN Group

  • Bazaar & Filled Basket Auction: Saturday, November 10
    • Please plan to bring any filled baskets you would like to donate to the church the Sunday (Nov 4) before the Bazaar or at least by Friday night (Nov 9) at 6:30pm; that’s when we’ll be arranging them for the basket auction.
    • We would love to have some homemade goodies for our bake sale—drop them off Friday night or early Saturday morning.
    • Also, we could really use some help setting up tables on Friday night (November 9) and cleaning up on Saturday after the basket auction. If you are able to help with either set-up or clean-up, please sign up with Patti Mittl. With your help we’ll have another successful Bazaar & Basket Auction this year!
  • Church World Service clean-up kit drive – see the blog post for more information
  • Watch future newsletters for more information about
    • Angel Tree – continuation of CWS emergency clean-up kits
    • Share the Warmth

Music & Worship

  • Sunday, Nov. 18 will be a busy morning!
    • Come to church a little early to enjoy some coffee, juice and breakfast items with your church friends. Join us from 9:45 to 10:10 a.m. in the lower social hall every third Sunday.
    • During worship, we will be baptizing twins! Be sure to join in the fun.
    • Following worship, we will be burning our papers with sins from the past year written on them in the little chiminea outside of worship. Come to worship this day to send your past in smoke to our God and find cleansing renewal for the upcoming new year.
  • We now have bulletin magnifier sheets. There are two available for you to use in worship. They are the size of a full sheet of paper and can be found on the sound system. Pick one up and try it out, then return it to the sound system after worship.
  • White Gifts will once again be collected for the young adults (ages 12 – 17) at Bethany Home.
    • The white gift service takes place during worship on Sunday Dec. 9.
    • Please wrap your gift in white paper only or not at all.
    • Bethany can only use new items to give to the students living there.
    • Please use the wish list provided.
    • Is anyone willing to take our white gifts to Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdorf during the week of Dec. 11 – 15 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.? Please speak with Pastor Lori if you are available to do this.

Social and Aid Committee

  • Another successful chicken potpie dinner was held on October 6; 250 hungry people, including all who helped, were served. Thank you!

Village School

  • All classes had Fall themed activities and Halloween Celebrations which included parents. Our three year old class had a visit from Upper Milford Fire Company and was taught about fire safety. The PreK class will visit the Emmaus Fire Company in early November. This month, our first of many literacy through the arts professionals will visit the 3’s and PreK classes. Returning artist Miss Lilly from Allegro Dance Studio will teach dance and a bit of music.
